Dovetail Rod Anchor (121)

As a Partition Wall Stabilizing Anchor, the Dovetail Rod Anchor is Hotdip Galvanized After Fabrication and is used with a #421 plastic tube. When the block core is filled with grout, the tube allows for vertical deflection. The concrete slab above must have a cast-in-place dovetail anchor slot. Standard Rod when used as a Stabilizing Wall Anchor is 3/8" diameter x 7" long and is not threaded. The welded clip is12 gauge.

The #121 Dovetail Threaded Rod Anchor can also be used in veneer walls with concrete backups for bolting back to the backup wall.

Custom rod lengths and diameters are available in Type 304 or Type 316 Stainless Steel.

121 Dovetail Threaded Rod Anchor

Threaded rod is welded 1” onto a 12 gage Dovetail Clip that is 1” wide and extends 1” from the face of the dovetail slot. Threaded rods are 3/8” diameter. Specify the required length of the rod. Nut and washer are optional.

This system can be used as a brick veneer anchor, as a bolt to extend through the brick veneer wall so signs can be bolted onto the exterior, or as a Masonry Wall Stabilizing Anchor (Use with #421 Plastic Tube and a 3/8” diameter smooth rod).
