Seismic

Veneer Anchors

We offer a variety of Veneer Anchors which conform to the requirements of the Building Codes for seismic zones.

IBC 2015 and 2013 TMS402/ACI530/ASCE5 have eliminated the requirement of wire joint reinforcing in the veneer for Seismic Design Categories E and F. From 1995 until the 2013 code it was required that the veneer wall had a continuous wire embedded in the mortar joint. This wire was then connected to the veneer anchor which is attached to the backup structure.

If your jurisdiction is still under earlier Code versions you may still be required to have these seismic veneer anchors.
