#196 Corrugated-Type Column Anchor 

Used to tie CMU wall back to a vertical steel column with the flanges parallel to the CMU wall. Anchors clip onto the left and right side of the flange and the corrugated section is embedded in the CMU mortar joint. Anchors are reversible for left or right side of flange. Standard Notch is 5/8” x 1”. 

Test of 5/8” x 1” notch to a steel column: Load increased to 6,150 lbs. The left bracket slot spread and cracked, causing it to slide off the holding fixture. The right bracket slot had a visible spread. Visible straightening was noted at the bend section around 1,500 to 2,000 lbs.
